Confession: I’m writing this post on Sunday morning. Coffee in hand; Swagbucks videos playing in the background; catching up on blog stuff from the week; figuring out all of the prep I need to do for the week ahead; hoping my breakfast magically makes itself; deciding what I want my workout to be later…the list goes on and on.
I mentioned the other day that my office is attached to the company warehouse and since it’s the busiest time of year for them, office staff has been bobbing back and forth helping them out and then getting back to our desks to work for awhile. I’ve also been amongst the group who decided to come in early/stay late/work weekends (though I took today off) to help them out and meanwhile earn some OT. It’s been nice but your legs and feet definitely do start to feel the 8-20 miles of walking a day on the hard pavement.
I’ve been happy to help them out and get in some exercise at the same time, but it does make for a busier week and when I come home at night, I just want to sit down on the couch, grab a book or watch a silly Christmas movie and relax instead of trying to prepare for the next day or write a blog post.
With that said, I’m hoping to get ahead today. Coffee in hand, Christmas tree lit up and still hoping my breakfast magically makes itself. 😉
This is where food prep really comes in handy and music to help get you through it all and make time just fly by! 🙂 So what’s on my speakers today?
I thought I had maybe shared this band before but I can’t find it, so I guess not..?
…Fast forward…
Breakfast was made and consumed, food prep started, I’m showered and about to go meet up with the boy and his boy for a couple hours before continuing on with my started tasks. I’ve been listening to the Love We Are Love album by The Sea The Sea all morning. It’s been relaxing while also giving me a few songs to sing along, and dance around the kitchen.
But I must admit the song that really brought these guys (back?) on my radar was the new(ish) single “How Will We Know” – it’s SO good! Cross your fingers a new album will follow soon…

I have never heard of this group. They’re pretty good. I (probably like everyone else in the world) have been listening to Adele’s new album. Obsessed.
It’s a good album, no reason to be ashamed! 😉
This is great! Congrats on staying ahead of schedule… This sounds like such a lovely morning!!!
Love this! And congrats on getting ahead a bit – I’m hoping to do that the next couple of weeks as well!
This is totally my kind of music, thank you for sharing!
Good luck in your ambitious goal of getting ahead on a Monday! I’m lucky if I can just keep my head above water on a Monday … Hope you have a fab week!
