With Thanksgiving only a few days away and snow on the ground in Michigan, there’s no denying that the holidays are here. I’ve been brainstorming gifts to give my family and also coming up with a few ideas for when my family asks what I’d like to receive. As someone who is a huge proponent of self-care and taking time to show yourself love, comfort and rest, I thought it would be a good idea to pull together a self-care gift guide. These gifts are perfect for the person in your life who maybe needs that extra nudge to take a little more time for themselves or for the person who loves all things self-care all the time!
Note: As a bonus, you can always print off my month of self-care calendar to include with your gift! And if you’re feeling extra generous, gift the recipient the things necessary to make the whole month happen!
Essential Oils
Diffusing essential oils is one of my favorite forms of self-care. I personally use doTERRA so if you have any questions or need help deciding which ones to give your loved ones, let me know!
Bath Bombs & Bubble Bath
I’m not a HUGE fan of baths because I just don’t find sitting in the tub to be super comfortable (if you have suggestions to make it better, let me know!) but I do take them from time to time as they’re so nice on my sore muscles. I love using Epsom salts, essential oils, and a bath bomb or some bubbles!
Acupressure Mat
I’ll admit that I’m not always great about USING my acupressure mat (this isn’t the one I have but this one is on Amazon if that’s your preferred shopping) but I really do love it. I’m working on adding it back into my evening routine and with so many great health benefits when using one, it’s a great gift!
Gift cards
Specifically for a massage, facial, spa weekend, restorative yoga class or retreat, etc…
Mug + tea/coffee
I’m a junkie when it comes to mugs. My cabinet is packed with them and I love them all! A new mug and someone’s favorite tea or coffee makes for a great gift to encourage a slow morning or afternoon on the couch with their mug full of a hot beverage. You could always include a new book or movie to go along with it!
What other self-care gifts would you want to receive? Let me know in the comments below!

Once I start foam rolling more regularly then I will buy the acupressure mat. Unfortunately I know how good it is to foam roll, and I never do it, so I have a feeling the acupressure mat would be similar.
I love these gift ideas! I’m a huge fan of baths with bubbles or bath bombs for sure. I haven’t heard of the acupuncture mat and I’m curious now!
Awww, this is a great gift list. And who wouldn’t want that namastay in bed mug?! SO cute! i love the idea of gifting something to someone they aren’t likely to get themselves, like luxurious pajamas or a gift card for a spa day. Thanks for sharing!
I would like to use essential oils more – I hear such good things about them! And I wish I had a bigger tub so I could take nice, relaxing baths, but alas, I do not.
