Thursday Thoughts

Can you believe July is right around the corner?  I feel like another month flew by and I hardly did anything or knocked anything off my to-do list.  Thankfully I have more time but it’s definitely time to get my butt into gear!

As I’m writing this up it’s Wednesday morning and while I have power, I have no cable or internet, our basement is currently free of water (thankfully) but my neighborhood is under water, though thankfully draining quickly now that the rain has slowed down.  I’m sure there are other areas that aren’t quite so lucky.  The storm Tuesday night was crazy – the lightning lit up the whole house and the thunder shook everything – including my parents clock right open!

Anyway, this week has been about turning myself around and starting anew.  I met my dear friend Michelle for coffee Tuesday morning and it was just what I needed – someone I could catch up with, talk things out with, brainstorm and just relax.  We live within an hour of each other so this was long overdue and will definitely be happening again! Have I mentioned I love how Blend brings people together?

Like I said, this week is about starting anew, about turning myself around, about crawling out of the funk that I’ve been in, and about finding my inner fire to push forward towards reaching my goals.  Sometimes that’s easier said than done, so I know it won’t be easy but I know I’ll get there.

It’s the power of positive thinking and I honestly believe it’s the first step in getting anywhere you’re trying to go.

And because at the end of the day, this quote will never get old and never stop resonating within me.

Thinking of you, Katie! And hoping your week is surprising you with all sorts of happy and good things. Keep up the positive attitude and perseverance! Loved our girl time on Tuesday–we have to do that again soon. 🙂

You always motivate me! Your efforts to always push yourself forward help me remember to do the same. 🙂 Living in limbo is so tough–as you know–and I’ve just been trying to stay busy and focus on LIFE and living and accomplishing things. Somehow productivity helps me break loose of ‘funkytown.’ Conversations with friends (or blends!) also always seem to help….
