Trainer’s Tip Thursday / 20 Minute Circuit

I’m starting something new this week. It won’t be every week but I’m putting that NASM certification to work by sharing my knowledge, workouts or whatever else I feel necessary.  This week, I want to share an awesome arms & abs circuit I did a couple weeks ago.  And better yet, it only took about 20 minutes!

Trainers Tip

The great thing about circuits is that they allow us to get a lot done in a short amount of time.  So many of us complain about wanting more hours in a day or how it’s so hard to find enough time to get to the gym for a good workout.  Thanks to circuits, it doesn’t have to be that way.  And thanks to this circuit, you don’t need a gym or a lot of equipment.

I don’t have free weights at home but I do have resistance bands so when it came to the bicep curls and arm pulses, I used what I had.  In case of any confusion, here’s a breakdown of the exercises:

I have been trying to find good toning circuits that I feel comfortable doing in front of people at the gym. This one looks fabulous, and not too difficult for someone like me who doesn’t know all of the fancy “moves.” Thanks for including photos. 🙂

Circuits ARE pretty awesome! I went with my roomie to a “box gym” (that’s what she called it) and it was just circuits. Reminded me of a tame and realistic cross fit…there was one station where we used a giant hammer to hit a giant tire. I was sore for a couple of days but in a good way!

Also love this idea! Put that cert to use girl! Share your knowledge! 🙂
