Trainer’s Tip: TIU Variation

I figured it was about time for another Trainer’s Tip!

Trainers Tip

One of my favorite things about training for this 1/2 marathon is that I haven’t had to THINK about my workouts for the most part.  It’s kind of nice sometimes.  Sunday was one of those days where I was scheduled for ‘strength’ but I still didn’t want to even figure that out.  Hey, it happens sometimes. 😉

Thankfully, just a couple days prior, this workout hit my inbox from the ladies over at Tone It Up and I decided it was perfect, especially since it was Easter and the gym was closed.

I started thinking about what exercises I could while still following their idea behind the workout.  So for those of you like me looking to change it up a bit to stay interested, here’s two circuits you can do.

Another idea would be to turn each circuit into it’s own workout on different days and repeat for a total of 3 times.

Your options are endless! Now get busy! 😉

Are you a circuit workout fan?

Have you tried any of the Tone It Up workouts?

I am a fan of YOUR circuits. I honestly have never done one until I did one of yours. I like these…now to get the motivation to do something other than run or other straight up cardio.*

*Meaning read magazines and watch Real Housewives of OC on the elliptical.

Not to mention, they’re REALLY good for you! My boss just sent out an article to everyone about the benefits of circuit and HIIT training versus some “longer” exercises.

I love circuits, we used to do them for dryland before swim practice and now I can’t get enough! I’ve tried one TIU workout, but I’m interested in trying more.
