It’s really no wonder I’ve felt a bit cranky this week. Just take a look at my workouts…or lack thereof (compared to *my* usual weeks).

As much as I workout for my health, I also work out for my sanity. It’s definitely my therapy. So while I work on getting myself into a routine, I am reminded that consistency with my fitness, will lead to a happy (and obviously also healthier) Katie.
So when 4 miles just doesn’t cut it and I know there’s more stress, anxiety and case-of-the-crabby to demolish, I know my workouts and runs just aren’t consistent enough. I’m working on it, I promise. For the sake of myself, Samantha, the 50 States In A Year project and every person we come into contact with over this next year.
It’s just better that way. 😉
How were your workouts this week?
How do you work on making them happen when life gets a bit crazy?

Respect your body. Your workouts look powerful and awesome. Stop thinking it isn’t enough. Take a nice walk through nature 🙂
I have to agree and disagree here!
Agreed because your workouts are definitely enough for a normal person’s week.
Disagree because I think the point was that you’re feeling stressed and working out helps that! 🙂
Either way..listen to your body of course and move happy!
Yes – my workouts ARE enough…
Yes – I need more for stress management… 🙂
Thanks, Courtney! Though maybe I wasn’t clear in my point was really more about my workouts not cutting it in terms of my stress management. There’s definitely nothing wrong WITH the workouts that I’m doing! 🙂
When life gets crazy I do time based workouts, usually 15 minutes out and back on a straight road, especially if I don’t know the area, this ensures that I don’t get lost! I would highly recommend working out alone when possible, with one person sharing your journey you both need the alone time. It’s good for your soul/sanity.
I need life to calm down enough so I can plan a few shorter time-based workouts for Sam and I. It’ll do us both good in many ways!
