What I Ate (& Would Like to Eat More Of)

Happy Halloween!!

Some may call me lame, but I didn’t dress up – though I’ll be honest, I thought about showing up to work in my old Starbucks uniform (to a non-Starbucks coffee shop).  Teehee…I’m funny. 😉

But since it’s Wednesday, it’s another day to share my wonderful eats from the week.  And boy oh boy, did I have some wonderful eats!

Breakfast:

These P28 Protein bagels are delicious!! The thing about the P28 products is that they’re slightly chewier than regular bread or bagels – it’s SO good!

Now I know you’re drooling over that picture so let me tell you what it is: 1/2 a P28 protein bagel topped with peanut butter, mashed banana and the last of the apple butter.  Served alongside a hot cup of coffee and I was in heaven!

Lunch:

I stayed with the norm for the most part this week with the Greek yogurt bowls.  This one was Strawberry Chobani, a handful of blackberries and Raisin Bran crunch.  Does anyone else feel like they could eat ALL of the blackberries from the container at once? This may have been 2/3 of the container in that bowl.  The rest I picked out with my fingers and ate. 😉

Dinner:

If you remember, it was my mom’s birthday this past week and in our family you get to choose a restaurant where we’ll go for dinner.  My mom chose Bonefish Grill and despite this place having been here for years, this was my first time.  I chose the grilled salmon & asparagus salad with mixed greens and goat cheese.  It was amazing! I finished the salad and ate about 1/3 of the salmon and took the rest home.  So so good!

Dessert:

I think I’ve already talked about this cake but it was a week of birthday cake as we had to finish the leftover goodness.  I seriously was super bummed when I finished my last slice, but I know my sweet tooth needs to simmer down so it’s a good thing it’s gone!

And to end on an even happier note, I’m just want to share this article.  Because while I left my job at Apple for several different reasons, most importantly following my passion for health and fitness, I was offered a transfer position at the closest store to my house about 30-45 minutes away.  I turned it down for several reasons, but at the end of the day, I didn’t like the direction Apple Retail was going with John Browett in charge.  I think this is a good move for Apple as a company and I think Tim Cook will do a great job running the ship until they find the right person to replace Ron Jonhson; but from the get-go it was not going to be John Browett.

What delicious eats have you had this week?

I still have not tried this infamous P28 bread…but I see it all over blogland!

You should have definitely showed up in your old uniform! It’s funny you still have it, but last night I was actually thinking about the uniforms I need to get rid of..

Also I’M going to Bonefish this Saturday for a date night with Dave! I love their bang-bang shrimp! 🙂

    Happy Halloween lady!

You should definitely try it! It’s super yummy and chewy, which I love!

My parents got the bang-bang shrimp and it was pretty good, spicy though. I only had 1 piece though because I was afraid all the cream in the sauce would make me sick.

I, too, love the P28 bread and bagels for their chewiness. I’m not a big fan of bread in general, but I actually find myself craving their product some times. If you freeze the bread and then zap it in the microwave it becomes a soft pillow of slightly sweet, grainy joy. 🙂

I put them in the freezer when they first got in, but I guess I could just leave them there until I want one…mmmMmm

Happy Halloween! I like your decision to not work for Apple. I’m not loving the direction they’re taking in general lately. Maybe I’m still grumbling because they got rid of my beloved 17″ macbook pro.

I’m hoping that with John Browett gone we’ll see the retail side of the company improve again. I think the company is in good hands with Tim Cook, but JB was a major mistake…

Can you do Greek yogurt? (I’m EXTREMELY lactose intolerant but I still can.) That would be one option and flax eggs could be another. We CAN let you have cake still. 🙂

I REALLY thought about it but then I had to think again. I need this job (at least until I get a PT job). 😉

Birthday cake is just the GREATEST! And I always assume it’s even better because you’re celebrating a birthday so it’s already a joyous occasion.

I REALLY thought about it but I don’t think I’ve been at this job long enough to know how my boss would react and if he’d find it funny…

You can visit, just please assure me you’re okay with one of those three ice creams. I’m not sure I can do an ice cream cake with any more ice creams… 😉
