I had a plan for today’s post and then as I was sitting on my couch trying to stay awake and trying not to allow this move to completely stress out every ounce of myself, I decided to change directions – to something fun!
So here you have it, a little this or that health and fitness style.
1. Run/workout in the heat and humidity or freezing temps and snow?
I hate running in the crazy humidity but I’ve never run in freezing temps before. I’d imagine though that running in the cold would be easier, you can always add more layers. It’s really hard to run when the heat and humidity are out of control – there’s only so much you can take off when you feel like your skin is even too much.
2. Have washboard abs or flat abs?
Flat abs. Washboard abs may be nice but I don’t think they’re very realistic for the majority of people. I’d rather have flat, healthy abs.
3. Dr. Oz or The Doctors?
I’ve never seen Dr. Oz but I know I like The Doctors. I don’t have cable but I’m assuming it’s still fairly interesting to watch.
4. Cardio or strength?
This is like asking a parent to choose their favorite kid – not possible! (or so I’d imagine). Both have their benefits and both I absolutely love!
5. Cravings: Protein or carbs?
Carbs! Cookies, cakes, pie, cereal, or bread anyone?
6. Jillian Michaels or Bob Harper?
Jillian Michaels. I haven’t done a Bob Harper workout but I’ve tried some Jillian Michael’s workouts and that woman does not mess around!
7. Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream?
Again, rather cruel but I think I’m going to have to go with frozen yogurt. It’s my current obsession and a great way to spend time with friends.
8. To train: Upper body or Lower body?
Upper body! Working my upper body always makes me feel strong – stronger than working my lower body. Though I do believe it’s all about balance!
9. Protein powder or food with protein?
Now, don’t get me wrong, I do LOVE protein powder, but I also know the importance of getting protein from food – especially peanut butter. 😉
10. Lunges or squats?
Squats. I hate lunges. Scratch that. I love to hate them.
11. Sweet or salty?
Did you have to ask? Sweet! Duh!
12. Workout attire: cute or comfy?
Comfy…I’m too broke for the cute stuff but I do try to not look completely like I just rolled out of bed (even if I did).
13. Body Pump or Heavy lifting?
I’ve never been to body pump but I know I like lifting, so I guess lifting.
14. Yoga or Pilates?
Yoga! Yoga is what gets me through most days and while I do enjoy pilates, the mental, emotional and spirtual benefit of yoga is far superior for me.
15. Nike or Adidas?
Nike! Did you have to ask? I still hope that they’ll someday sponsor my life or give me a job. HA! (What? A girl can dream, right?)
16. Running on the treadmill or outdoors?
Crazy as this may seem, treadmill. Outdoors is so much harder on my lungs. 🙁
17. Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s?
I love the Whole Foods salad bar and I love their larger variety of products, but Trader Joe’s is my go-to and does my best to protect my wallet.
18. Summer or Winter Olympics?
Summer! Though I’m sad I didn’t actually get to watch this summer. 🙁
19. Steamed veggies or roasted veggies?
Tie? I love roasted veggies for their added flavor but I also love steamed veggies for their simplicity.
20. Moving pod or rental car + ship car?
Okay okay, so that one wasn’t health and fitness related but it is weighing on my mind and totally stressing me out. Why does moving have to be so complicated (and expensive!)?
Pick a few and tell me what you’d choose?

I love WF salad bar too, but TJ’s is much better on the wallet! Can you teach me to like yoga more?? 🙂 I have no idea about the moving part! I hope it goes smoothly for you!
“Trader Joe’s is my go-to and does my best to protect my wallet.”
Totally agree with this. I can’t hang with the WF prices!
