Popping in from Alabama to say hi!! While I may have survived the 5 event week for 50 States, things have yet to slow down and I’m still trying to play catch up but this is my space and I need to share a few things on my mind thinking out loud style.
Life on the road is full of highs and lows and this is something I’m constantly reminding myself. And I’ll continue to do so until it really sinks in.
Can I just say thank goodness for CrossFit? Seriously, my workouts are my time to unwind, let out stress re-connect with myself. The harder the workout, the greater I am when I come through it.
Speaking of CrossFit, I miss it! Obviously I’m constantly visiting different boxes and getting in some great workouts, but I miss going 5-6 days week. I miss seeing my strength and endurance improve. I miss the girls at Dawn Patrol that quickly became such good friends. I just miss it. Who knew?
Do you see all that Spark?! I freaking love that it can power me through some of the craziest, longest days I’ve ever had! 15 hour event day? No problem!
I’m also super thankful for friends who agree to accept packages for you, know there’s tons of deliciousness inside and don’t steal it. Thanks Becky! 😉
Don’t be fooled by all of the beach photos on my Instagram last week…we may have visited a few different beaches while in Florida, but most of those trips were 15 minutes. The longest we got on the beach was about a little over an hour and I took the opportunity for a short run along the water before soaking in as much sun as I possibly could!

So as I went to put this post in WordPress I discovered that Monday’s Music Monday post never actually went up (doh!) so make sure you check out that post while you’re at it…;)
Now tell me – what’s on your mind today?
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for Fitness Friday and let’s help each other stay motivated with our fitness!

It’s kind of like what doesn’t kill you make you stronger. I’m sure you are definitely out of your comfort zone frequently with your undertaking, but it is for a graet cause and I bet you are benefitting just as much if not more than those you are helping!
We are definitely learning a lot and there’s no question this is a year of personal growth!
Girl! You’re a freaking rock star for doing this. I love travelling, but I’m usually more than ready to come back home after like… a week. What an awesome experience, though. One of those things you’ll be able to look back on and say “hell yeahhhhhh I did that!”
Exactly!
Great job keeping this going girlfriend. Thinking about you!!
Thanks, girl!
I thought I traveled a lot for work! You must be exhausted. Its a good thing you still fit in workouts, but hopefully you can get back into a regular schedule once you get home.
Yes, yes I do! 😉 50 States In A Year is actually a project that I created with a friend of mine and we’re traveling for an entire year and won’t be back home until November! So for me, it’s about getting into a regular schedule while having a non-traditional / non-regular schedule.
I am so proud of you guys for your commitment and endurance, it is so amazing!
Thank you so much, Katie!
