Where We Stayed – The Lenox Hotel

I may have lived in Boston in college but over the years, most of my friends have moved on to their next adventure and left the city – as I have too.  What this means when I go back is that I must find a place to stay, as opposed to couch or floor crashing.  So after hearing nothing but great things about The Lenox, I was thrilled when they invited me to stay with them for my couple of days in Boston.

We arrived in Boston early Sunday morning after our red eye from LA.  Amy and I were both completely exhausted but despite knowing we wouldn’t be able to check-in that early, we made our way to the hotel to at least drop off our bags.  We were greeted by a couple friendly faces who allowed us to quickly freshen up in the lobby restroom, drop off our bags and took my number to call us as soon as their was an open room.

After grabbing some coffee, breakfast and a walk around the city, we were able to get checked-in around noon for a nap.  We were offered some coffee and tea as the finishing touches were placed on our room and then made our way upstairs.

Our room was absolutely gorgeous!  We stayed in one of their Junior Suites – 2 Queen sized beds, a work-station and a nice little sitting area with mini fridge.  It was perfect for us.

This was one of those hotels where it was all in the simple details and customer service.    Every employee I interacted with (except maybe one) was smiling, friendly, said hello and happily assisted with any of our needs.  We had turn-down service each evening that was accompanied by some delicious chocolates.  We enjoyed our evenings in comfy robes while watching TV.  We got our beauty rest sleeping in some super comfy beds.  We were able to wake up and get some additional exercise in their fitness center.  We had mint and rosemary toiletries from Aveda (smelled amazing!).

And the lobby and stairwells were absolutely beautifully decorated.  Amy and I kept joking that we didn’t look like we belonged in the hotel until the night we dressed up to go out to dinner.  It was gorgeous.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Lenox Hotel and if you’re ever traveling to Boston, it’s definitely a place you should consider staying.  You’ll be well taken care of.

Thank you to everyone at The Lenox Hotel for being so friendly and accommodating.

More on my trip? See what we ate!
