Yoga State of Mind

Do you remember when I told you to check out Ben Howard?  Man, I hope you listened to me because I still haven’t stopped listening to it!

In fact, my love for that album and Ben Howard has only grown.  Do you think I can convince him to be my boyfriend and serenade me?  😉

Either way, if you still haven’t checked it out, please do yourself a favor and get on it! And I’ll do you a favor because I’m bringing you another song today.  I’m aware it’s not a Monday, but as I’m looking forward to 2013 and thinking about what changes I want to make, what improvements, what additions, what subtractions and anything else, one of the biggest things is I want to get back my yoga state of mind.  And I want it to stay.

What does that mean exactly?

I want the mentality of just breathe.

Screen Shot 2012-12-28 at 4.58.21 PMI’ve had it before and I can have it again but it means keeping up with my practice; it means not allowing the little things to get to me; it means strengthening my heart and my spirit.  All things I’m capable of doing.

And as I sit down and listen to Every Kingdom (every.freaking.day), I hear “Keep Your Head Up” and I find myself so emotionally invested in the song, almost like it’s my mantra and right in line with my yoga state of mind.

See what I mean?

Didn’t catch those lyrics?

Screen Shot 2012-12-28 at 4.51.10 PMI’ll leave you with this:

Keep your head up, keep your heart strong.

What helps you keep a yoga state of mind?
