Your Motivation To Rest

Admittedly I’m terrible at taking time off and allowing myself to rest. I know rest is healthy but it’s not something I’m good at, especially when I’m feeling overwhelmed, I tend to add more to plate (mentally, physically and emotionally), like it’ll cover and mask everything else up.

So today, I thought it would be beneficial to remind ourselves that it’s okay to rest. In fact, it’s necessary and since I’m girl who loves a good motivational quote, here are four to help motivate you (and myself) to rest.

quote 1

quote 2

quote 3

quote 4

When was the last time you let yourself rest?

I love these quotes so much–that last one in particular. It’s funny, how we feel so disconnected when we remove ourselves from social media/technology… but it’s absolutely essential to our wellbeing to just be and live in the moment.

    Thank you for this!

I struggle with this lately especially now that I am trying to get this blog off the ground. I have to keep reminding myself it’s okay to break.

I am really struggling with this right now. I work from home, so the list of what I could (and feel like I should) be doing never ends. I never accomplish everything I want to in the day and feel like I should keep working until I do. I started to hit burnout levels last night and I know something’s got to change. I just don’t know what or how yet.

I love this post! It’s a great reminder that we all deserve the time to rest and rejuvenate when necessary! Great post!
