My dad picked me up bright and early yesterday morning to head to the airport so I could catch my flight to Boston. I’ll be spending the next few days with the team in Boston, seeing some friends on Saturday and then running the Boston Run to Remember ½ Marathon on Sunday before making my way back to Chicago early Monday morning. It is bound to be a crazy week but also fun and hopefully a little relaxing too!
Anyway, when I got to the airport, I picked up an iced coffee and sat down for breakfast – a coffee cacao RxBar I brought from home. It was the perfect start to my day.
My flight arrived to Boston a bit before 2 but by the time I got my bag and made my way from the airport to the hotel to drop off my bag and picked up lunch, it was 4pm! I was super hungry, exhausted and definitely walking the line of total crab. Thankfully I was able to just log into the hotel wifi and get in a few hours of work from my hotel room with my legs up.
As for this morning, I’ve got a run on the books and a LOT of foam rolling before grabbing some breakfast and heading into the office. Better get going!
