Fitness Friday Catch-Up

First of all, can I tell you how much I’m loving the snow?  While it was terrible to drive in yesterday, it was absolutely beautiful and left us this nice winter wonderland.  I even shoveled the driveway while my parents were gone yesterday afternoon, so they wouldn’t be driving over 3+ inches of heavy snow.

Anyway, moving on to my fitness from the week and I have to say I’m very happy with how training is going.  After a hard week last week, it felt good to get back on track.  I had a crabby day on Wednesday so instead of trying to power through my full workout, I split it between Wednesday and Thursday and I’m so happy I did.  Tomorrow will be a 5 mile run that will mark the end of my 4th week of 1/2 marathon training – eeeeeep!

Things are really about to start picking up and honestly, while I’m nervous, I’m so excited! My body has been feeling so strong and amazing, and the cleaner I eat, the better it feels.  As they say, eat clean sweat dirty. 🙂

It IS hard, I agree! I just always remind myself how much better I feel when I do eat clean and that usually helps. If the stomach ache the next day isn’t worth it, I skip it.

I’m hoping to do a 5K in March, so all these long runs you’re doing are super impressive to me! And I’m kind of jealous of the snow…we don’t get much in California as you can imagine 😉

I always follow the “if you don’t know what that is/can’t pronounce it, you probably shouldn’t eat it.” 😉
